  1. Hi guys,Have followed your blog for a fair while now,it's been great. I'm sure your aware of how shallow it is up through a Jumpinpin and Canaipa passage to Morton Bay.The sand bars move around a bit at Jumpinpin, but on the high tide it's ok.I might see you guys go past rivergate on your way up river to see the fireworks. We live on a JP called Pura Vida at the marina.

    1. Hi, thanks for your comment! Did we meet on the JP yahoo group? We have only met one other John Pugh design so far - a smaller ketch, here on the Gold Coast. With our 2m draft we will definitely be heading up the channel on a rising tide! We are not sure now if we will make it to the river in time for the fireworks, but we will definitely keep an eye out for Pura Vida! Hope to cross paths soon.

    3. Hi Guys,
I just found your blog. Great to see you are both doing well. While you are at Magnetic island keep an eye out for a Roberts Mauritius named Storm. I used to work with him. He loves a beer.

  2. Hi Guys, We have seen you berthed in Port Bundaberg & good to read about your travels. I'll be sure to say g'day next time our paths cross. I'm not sure if you are aware the Junk rigged boat you saw at 1770 is also called Minke. Safe travels.
